Abiquiu Chamber Music Festival is located at the junction of Hwy 84 and Private Rd. 1622, No. 12. (driving time is 1 hr. from Santa Fe, Los Alamos, or Taos). 1. From Espanola take Hwy 84/285 toward Abiquiu: 2. From Santa Fe, you do that by turning LEFT at the INTERSECTION with DANDY BURGER and CROSSING the River. Then, RIGHT turn where is says to "CHAMA" and to "TIERRA AMARILLA". 2. Coming SOUTH from Taos area, turn RIGHT at the INTERSECTION w/ WALGREEN'S; then another RIGHT at the next intersection (Onate/84). 3.  ACMF's features the WORLD PREMIERE of GARY GACKSTATTER'S Chaco: A Journey of the Spirit  written for preeminent artist R. CARLOS NAKAI, Native Flute, and ACMF Ensemble. MATTHEW AUCOIN returns as Conductor (while also conducting the Santa Fe Opera's production of John Adams' Dr. Atomic). ACMF also pays a heartfelt musical tribute to the life of composer RUTH LOMON (1930-2017) with selected works on four programs throughout the season.
